I hate working with homophobes.

Homosexuality is not an issue. It’s a fact. Deal with it. (If you can’t, maybe you’re just jealous you can’t come out of the closet.) Every person has the right to choose to be straight or gay. You can’t simply decide to support certain rights and not others. And to say that being gay is okay as long as they don’t sleep with people of the same sex is like telling a dog to be a dog but not to bark. Gets mo? Pinayagan pang magbading kung pipilitin lang naman palang maging tomboy. If you’re so thick that you can’t even consider this, just shut up and learn the meaning of RESPECT. Why judge gays, you don’t hear them judging you for being such a hypocritical homophobe.

J.K. Rowling announces title, release date of new book

8:38 Apr 13th, 2012 | 2,501 notes

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.

Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems.

And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?

Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.
